The K-80 Trap Special – Now Available with New PRO RIB!

Less than five years ago, the K-80 Trap Special changed the
way trapshooters looked at the game. The Trap Special’s
higher rib and corresponding higher stock allow the
trapshooter to keep a more erect head position, providing a
broader sight picture and less perceived recoil.
The Trap Special concept caught on quickly and soon became
one of the most sought after competition trap guns on the
market. As trapshooters came to know the Trap Special and
appreciate its “head-up” design, some suggested Krieghoff
should push the limits a little further. Designed to shoot
an almost 100% high pattern, the Trap Special allowed
shooters to catch the target quicker out of the bunker. What
then would shooting a higher than full pattern do for the
game of trap?
Krieghoff answers the question with the introduction of the
new Pro Rib for the K-80 Trap Special! Designed to
shoot more than a full pattern high, the new Pro Rib allows
trapshooters to sight the target instantly as it rises up
from the bunker and to move on to the second target with
lightning quick speed.
The K-80 Trap Special featuring the new Pro Rib is now
available in time for the 2008 trapshooting season.
Currently available only on new K-80 Trap Specials,
production plans include making the Pro Rib available for
retro-fitting on existing Trap Specials by 2009.
